Extremely Loud and Comfortably Quiet become one with iPE. The BMW M5 / BMW 550 combined with an iPE system produces an extremely loud and aggressive sound for anyone behind the steering wheel who is searching for a spirited driving experience. With the V8 biturbo engine design, the full system will be connected by the two exhaust pipes from both sides of the bank, to a pair of non-catalysts down pipe for countries who have no regulations, and for customers who want maximum performance with no compromise, or simply matching the factory down pipe with our iPE catback system to be environmentally conscious. Then the exhaust flows through our uniquely designed x-pipe in order to reduce the exhaust pulses and turbulence for a more efficient flow which prevents torque loss under low revs and quick spooling of the turbos, providing maximum performance throughout the rev range.

Our full Valvetronic exhaust delivers performance and factory like regulations, all accessible via the factory Drive logic mode buttons. In Sport and Sport + mode, the system detects the engine RPM signal to automatically open the valve movements earlier for a sportier progressive driving experience, to provide maximum flow and power, unleashing a unique and breath-taking sound of rumbles and burbles in low revs and crackling to popping at high revs when accelerating. In Comfort mode, the system detects the engine RPM signal to automatically adjust the valve movements to factory car like principles, maintaining legal sound restrictions where applicable for a comfortable cruise through quiet neighbourhoods or for a passenger who has fallen asleep.

Each part of the exhaust system is individually designed to perfectly fit onto the BMW M5 / BMW 550. Only the finest materials were chosen for the muffler internals to create a unique and breath-taking sound that will trickle those feelings and senses, sending them into your mind, giving you a bit of freedom away from the busy stressful working environment or for drivers who want a bit of attention grabbing sound.

DOWN PIPE WITHOUT CAT PERFORMANCE LINE: Lightweight Down pipes engineered by iPE:s developement team for maximum performance.  The purpose of Down pipes without cats is to increase performance by enhancing the exhaust flow for maximum power gains.iPE Down pipes are specifically designed for maximum performance. Thanks to the precise calculations of pipe length, pipe diameter, and pipe bending, iPE Down pipes generate optimal flow of exhaust gases which results in maximum power gains. If you are looking for best performance, weight reduction more power and sound, these optional Down pipes are a must

 

X-PIPE TITANIUM LINE: The X-Pipe are at the heart of iPE:s Performance Exhaustsystem and bolted in the center of the car. Also known as a crossover pipe, each system works by balancing the exhaust pulses from either side—or cylinder bank of a V-style engine. The result is a smooth exhaust flow and a more efficient engine.

 

CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM TITANIUM LINE:  System including Front pipe, X-pipe, valvetronic mufflers and  and tips in Chrome Silver as standard. Titanium Blue Tips, Chrome Black Tips and Carbon tips (in picture) are optional. Our BMW Titanium exhaust is extremely lightweight with a weight saving of 23.55 kg.

VALVETRONIC MUFFLERS  – What is Valvetronic?  All iPE exhaust systems come with a Valvetronic muffler. A Valvetronic muffler (or valve-controlled muffler) includes exhaust valves which can influence the stream/flow of the exhaust gases. The exhaust valves can be controlled manually as well as automatically. The inner structure of the muffler (also called back-box or silencer) are individually designed with the emphasis on upgrading performance and sound, in terms of torque and horsepower as well as sound volume and sound character.

 

VALVETRONIC MUFFLERS  – Advantages of iPE:s Valvetronic: iPE’s Valvetronic exhaust systems essentially upgrade two aspects: performance and sound. Performance: When the valves are closed, torque can be increased enormously at the lower rpm range. When the valves are open, dramatic horsepower gains can be reached at the higher rpm range. Sound: With closed valves, the exhaust sound is sporty but comfortably quiet. All vibrating, drone resonance (annoying frequencies inside the car at certain rpm) are cancelled out, so that the driver and passengers can experience a comfort and relaxed ride. With open valves, the exhaust sound becomes as sporty and breathtaking as it gets. The trademark sound of iPE can now be enjoyed without limitations.

 

CARBON TIPS: The most expensive lightweight racing material – genuine carbon fiber, imprinted with the iPE logotype. Carbon fiber tips is optional to all iPE exhaust Systems.

 

TITANIUM BLUE TIPS: Cool racing heated tips for your performance car. All tips are imprinted with the iPE logotype. Optional for all systems.

 

CHROME SILVER TIPS: Standard tips, included in the system price. All tips are imprinted with the iPE logotype.

The BMW M5 has original power/torque: 560Hp/680Nm improves with 21% to 680Hp/850Nm. On iPE:s DYNO they measured an increase of 12.9 Hp at 5600 rpm and 25.5 Nm at 4.400 rpm. Together with remapping of your car it improves performance and handling beyond normal standards.

The BMW 550 has original power/torque: 408Hp/600Nm improves with 15% to 470Hp/700Nm.
